everything you've ever wanted in 2016
Aside from your birthday, New Year's Eve is probably the biggest event of the year. For many, the dress code depends on their plans, when it should truly depend on what you want the next year to be for you. Whether you ring in the new year at a house party or a black tie gala, your outfit should reflect the upcoming year. This year, we decided to host a New Year's Eve party at our home.
As the evening quickly approached, I could not decide between a Narciso Rodriguez gown and a Rachel Zoe dress. I knew I wanted something long, soft and comfortable; especially since we were hosting a party. When you're hosting, you don't want to dress like you're going out on the town and you want to make sure to dress up in clothing that mimic pajamas or a night gown. Ultimately, the key to success when hosting is for your outfit to be effortless.
The Narciso Rodriguez is comfortable, sleek, a great color and backless! The neckline was just right and the spaghetti straps were very supportive. Also, I mean, its Narciso and I love my Latinos in fashion.
The black and white dress has a splash of sexy with the plunging neckline and slit. This dress carries sophistication especially the tassle ends on the belt. Plus, nothing says classy, modern and sexy like a black and white number. The kimono-like sleeves really elevate the dress, too.
The party dress code was "dress how you'd like your next year to be" and the theme was "everything you've ever wanted in 2016."
I decided to go with the Rachel Zoe dress because I want my next year to be rich with simplicity, unpredictable and sexy. WINK!
