It is officially June! My birthday is the first day of June a few days shy of the beginning of Gemini Season and the Summertime. My closest friends and I celebrated my birthday by checking out one of the hottest restaurants in D.C., Kinship. Kinship is not only the name of the restaurant but also another word for family, bond, harmony and understanding. How fitting!
I waited until the very last minute to find a birthday outfit but in the end decided on my new and first ever pair of culottes from LOFT Ann Taylor, my favorite F21 spagehtti strapped tee, my i-can-be-in-these-6-inch-heels-all-night Manolos and my cow hyde bag. I love good surprises when putting together an outfit and for this one it was the accessories.
I was feeling a little rushed and not completely dressed while en route to dinner. My boyfriend handed me a birthday gift in the car and ta-da! I put on my new watch and tide the gift ribbon around my neck as a choker. I arrived to dinner feeling completely dressed and special!
