Traveling in Love
If you've traveled with your significant other, you know that the worst arguments you've ever had can take place anywhere at anytime. That was the case for us today. It is our second to last day in Florence and I wanted to go to San Gimignano to walk, take photos and eat gelato. Bae wanted to visit one of the most impressive winery in Florence, Antinori nel Chianti Classico, to taste wines and have lunch. Though it is rare that I put anything over food and wine, I'd had enough pasta and wine in the course of eight days and just wanted to take it all in while being and feeling as centered as possible.
During a calm moment and deeper digging into WTF wassup with us, we decided to do both.
We drank wine, had lunch, ate gelato, walked a lot, took endless photos, talked to strangers, got lost, shopped, and most importantly, loved on each eachother. We both got what we wanted, we went to a corner in the world we've never been to and we got real about our imperfections and desires.
I must have felt a mood coming on in the morning because I sub consciously decided to wear all black and pulled my hair back [way up]. My mom bought me this very classy and dramatic (my mood) dress by French Connection. I treated myself to these poppin' Vapormax by Nike and these sunnies are my favorite Prada sunnies from too many seasons ago.
At the end of the day, metaphorically and literally, traveling with love is the only way.
