Sips & Suppers 2018
All we did was eat, drink, and dance this weekend and it was just what we needed. Sips & Suppers, a weekend-long culinary experience presented by Alice Waters, Joan Nathan, and Jose Andres, happens every year. The event featuring hundreds of chefs, sous chefs, baristas, and food enthusiasts is a charity focused specifically geared toward supporting two major hunger charities based in Washington D.C: Martha’s Table and DC Central Kitchen. The entire function was epic and inspirational as a food enthusiast myself.
My look for the Suppers portion was this country, 90's, floral dress from ba&sh with a very high slit for a sexy look.
...paired with my rockstar, bad ass, thigh-high Dolce & Gabbana leather boots and a faux leather jacket for a "tough" element to the 90's floral dress.

Sips celebrates the contribution that Washingtonians — both young and old, professional and student — make to feeding and supporting the city’s neediest. Chefs, artisans, mixologists gather for this lively cocktail reception and offer their signature dishes and craft cocktails. This festive night will include event founders and hosts Joan Nathan and Alice Waters and speakers from Martha’s Table and DC Central Kitchen. Join your community in changing lives and find sustainable solutions to poverty.
In its 10th year, Suppers features renowned chefs from the DC region, from across the country, and some from across the world, preparing extraordinary meals in homes throughout the city to help address the issues of homelessness and poverty in our nation’s capital. Chefs, working together in pairs, donate their time and skills to participate in these incomparable evenings while hosts graciously provide their houses for the evening. And guests get to watch and chat with the chefs as they prepare the meal. The highlight of Suppers is great food and wine, and stimulating conversation.
