Barrymore Wines

Hotel Americano hosted the tasting and release of the Barrymore wine line by Carmel Road. Yes, Drew Barrymore is in the wine business now and I'm not mad about it at all! Her line has Pinot Grigio, Rose of Pinot Noir and a blend by Carmel Road curated by Drew. All the grapes come from the Carmel Road vineyard in Monterey, California. My favorite was the Pinot Grigio! You can buy them now and anywhere!

I met her a few times back in 2014 while I was working at Refinery29, so naturally, I went to say hi. I asked "So why wine?" She replied "because I love drinking it." Nothing ever made more sense to me than that moment. If you love something, do it. Find a way to do it, to make it yours, to make money from it and gain recognition, to inspire others to find their own thing and do things their own way. The world is actually your oyster and the last person I would have expected to teach us that farther is the forever cutest actress Drew Barrymore. I knew wine would teach me everything. It's already taught me a lot. 

So, thank you, Drew. Thank you, wine. SALUD!
